Brian Finzel is in
his tenth year as a science teacher at CHS. He has a bachelor’s
degree in engineering and a master’s degree in biological science, both
from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. As the CHS science
fair coordinator, he has sponsored twelve student qualifiers for the
Intel International Science & Engineering Fair. He is an avid
amateur botanist and nature photographer, having photographed and
identified over 2300 plants from all over the United States and Canada.
In addition, he is currently President of the Huntsville Wildflower
Society and secretary of the Alabama Wildflower Society, as well as a
frequent hike leader for area wildflower outings. His new claim to
fame is having driven nearly 17,000 miles on a camping trip to Alaska
during the summer of 2007. |
